At par with many filter bag fabric suppliers , Shanxi Tongcai Industry & Trade Company's ironworks have two blast furnaces with capacities of 1860m³ and 1280m³, with an annual output of 4 million tons. The steelworks are equipped with advanced special steel production equipment, including a mixer , two 100-ton converters, a 65-ton alloy steel electric furnace, an LF refining furnace, and three R10m eight-machine eight-stream continuous casting machines.

Creating Value for Customers! Saving Over 11 Million CNY Annually

 

For this project, Yuanchen Technology adopted an energy performance contracting model it uses in the making of filter bag cages to supply low-temperature denitrification catalysts for sintering flue gas and retrofit the direct-fired furnace.

 

The implementation of this project by a seasoned dust removal filter bag company helps Shanxi Tongcai Industry & Trade achieve a gas savings rate of over 48% at low temperatures compared to high temperatures under the same load conditions, reaching more than 120% of the energy- saving acceptance standard. Additionally, the electricity consumption per ton of ore decreased by 2.4 kWh, resulting in an annual electricity saving of over 5 million CNY, and overall cost savings of over 11 million CNY per year for the enterprise.

Starting from Customer Needs, Customized Systematic Solutions

 

To meet the emission requirements of NOx and ammonia slip set by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and to reduce gas consumption and the power consumption of the desulfurization and denitrification systems, Yuanchen Technology's SCR catalysts manufactures team conducted an on-site inspection, analyzed and compared the characteristics of the client's flue gas and production conditions, and understood the client's energy-saving and carbon-reduction needs and feedback. Based on this, we continuously optimized the corresponding services and equipment.

 

According to the actual working conditions and specific needs of Tongcai Industry & Trade, Yuanchen Environmental provided a systematic environmental protection solution: replacing the original denitrification system catalyst with a low-temperature SCR catalysts (180°-320°C) and modifying the ammonia evaporation system to save gas. Additionally, the original external hot blast furnace was converted to a direct-fired furnace, with the installation of auxiliary fans. The airflow is adjusted in a closed-loop based on the gas volume, with the auxiliary fan flow displayed on the central control screen, effectively saving fuel and reducing CO2 emissions, achieving the goals of improving quality and efficiency, and saving energy and reducing carbon emissions, just like the company achieved in its own in-house manufacturing of filter bag fabric.
